Fajita Seasoned Ground Chicken or Turkey

2 tablespoons olive oil
½ large sweet onion finely diced
½ large red onion finely diced
1 red bell pepper finely diced
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
½ teaspoons kosher salt
pepper, to taste
1 lime juiced

1½ pounds ground chicken or turkey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground chili powder

Preheat a skillet over medium high heat. Heat the oil and then add the diced onions and peppers and saute until soft. Add the garlic and saute for 60 seconds until fragrant. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly. Season with salt and pepper and lime juice.

Mix ground chicken and seasonings until well combined. Add in the cooled cooked fajita veggies along with any oil still in the pan. You can use as desired.

To make into burger patties:
Form the mixture into small-ish patties.
Reheat the same skillet over medium high heat with an additional tablespoon of oil. Cook burgers for about 6 minutes per side until cooked through.
